Wedded Bliss!

So, it's been a long while since I have posted anything on here. I am happliy married to the love of my life Aaron Eller. Yes, my name has changed and so has my life...ok, so my name isn't officially changed...apparently it is a huge hassle to get your name changed. I have a trip to the Social Security Office scheduled for Friday. Hopefully I will finally get somewhere:) Below are pictures that Zach took of the wedding. I hope that you like them.

Ava, she was so excited to be a flowergirl.

The two cutest flowergirls ever!

Something Old

Yes, it's true she walked down the aisle without any problems. Too cute!

Dad walking me down the aisle.

Standing with Aaron.

Realizing that I left the ring in my suitcase in the dressing room.

Finally have the ring after Julie split out of the sanctuary so fast that you almost couldn't see her.

Watching the video after lighting the unity candle...and burning a hole in my veil:)

The first kiss!

Sooooo worth the wait!

Skipping down the aisle!

The men.

The flowers.

The women.

The happy couple.

On their way to be photographed.

Our cakes. The awesome wedding cake and groom's cake. I designed them both and I do think that they turned out pretty great...even if I do say so myself:)

We're the happy family!

Been awhile...

Well, it's been awhile since I made any posts. I have been swept up into wedding land and I'm afraid I may never return. I kinda feel like Dorthy in the Wizard of OZ when she says, "There's no place like home." I love planning the wedding and am absolutely excited to get married, but I am ready for my feet to land back on the ground and move on with a more normal day-to-day, humdrum, average life. The type of life where you get up, go to work, and come home. I am looking forward to having the most exciting thing that happened in my week being that I stayed home and watched Harry and the Hendersons and laughed until my side hurt. I can't wait to have time back. To be able to create stuff in the evenings for a few hours before I go to bed. To not feel the pressure of time on my shoulders. Now, I know that life won't always be easier after marriage, but I do know that I will never be alone again and that I have someone by my side who can make me laugh even when I want to be mad, who will hug me when I am sad, and who will cheer me on everyday. Yay! Only 16 more days...two weeks and two days!

A week in the life of Katie & Aaron

This is a glimpse into the past week of my life. It starts with a cake that I made for Aaron's mom Brenda for her birthday. We surprised her at work and made her day. Right after surprising her we took the youth from church on a trip to Youth Congress in Nashville, TN. We all had a blast. Aaron found his new Best Friend...Miley Cyrus...I was a little jelous, but then I realized she couldn't move or speak and I calmed down. We were worn out, but had a wonderful time. Nothing better than singing worship songs to Jesus with 18,000 other people. Last, but not least on our way back Aaron and I took a detour and stopped at the castle park...where we became amazing fashion models...then made a stop at Giant City state park. Aaron decided to climb the rock that I climbed a couple years ago in rock climbing class.

My life...

So much for updating my blog everyday. A lot has happened in the past month. I have returned from a fun trip to the west coast where I got to babysit my favorite and only niece, as well as visit my family. As soon as I arrived home I got engaged to the man of my dreams. Which means that my life has become a whirlwind of wedding plans, summer plans, parent visits, and life as usual. Here are some pictures that might give you a slight glimpse of what has been going on.

Today...

Well, I am excited to finally be going home. It seems like an eternity since I have seen my family. I can't wait to hold my neice and hangout with my brother and sister-in-law. The past few weeks have seemed like a blur and I am ready to try to get my feet back on solid ground. I think that I may have found the man I've been waiting for and I can't believe it. So, I am going to enjoy this trip, since it may be the last one that I experience alone. Who knows what lies ahead. All I know is that Jesus is the Lord of my life, He has the best in store for my life, and I am going to trust Him completely.

Update May 23 - June 9

Commencement chairs in the rec. center...I was so excited to see all the work come together.

This is the prank that some students pulled on us during commencement weekend. They went into the overflow seating and turned all of the chairs facing away from the screen and put this message on the floor. Lucky for them we are all good sports:)

Memorial Day party. This was the cutest little kid ever.

This is a strange little animal that Aaron gave to me. It was a key of conversation when we were at the zoo. He gave it to me when we got together a couple weeks later. Apparently he had bought it months earlier at a discount store because he thought it was weird looking. Too funny! I am still waiting for the flowers:o)

I have begun to paint my cabinets in my apartment. I am waiting for my landlord to buy the white paint for the doors.

Andrea's last day in the apartment. We had to take a picture, so that we could remember what we looked like.

Aaron and I decided that we needed to play on the playground bridge.
